Sprint iPhone 5 Will Launch With Unlimited Data Plans Next Month

As previously reported that Sprint along with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone 5 next month. According to a recent report by Bloomberg the Sprint version will come with Unlimited data plans.

If this is indeed true Sprint will be the only carrier to off unlimited data plans with the phone.

The report also notes that Sprint has delayed the release of a competing phone with 4G capabilities to clear the schedule for the iPhone 5 though it’s not specified which phone they’re talking about. Unlimited data plans offer unlimited voice and internet for $99 per month, rival carriers Verizon and AT&T have recently moved onto tiered plans for new customers which offer limited data for a lesser price.

Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) will offer Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s iPhone next month with unlimited data service plans to distinguish itself from rivals AT&T Inc. (T) and Verizon Wireless, according to people familiar with the matter.

Sprint, the third-largest U.S. wireless carrier, plans to begin selling the device in mid-October under a deal with Apple for the next model, the iPhone 5, said the people, who wouldn’t be identified because the plans aren’t public. Becoming the country’s only operator to offer the device with unlimited data service for a flat fee may help Sprint draw customers from AT&T and Verizon Wireless, which already carry the phone, they said.
