  • Apple Makes The iPhone 4S Official

Tim Cook, the newly appointed CEO of Apple Inc. has just gone ahead and made the iPhone 4S official. After the months and months of rumors, the moment is finally here; and it seems that the speculators were really close this time!  The phone(as rumored) looks exactly like the iPhone 4 but Apple emphasized that it’s not the case with the insides.

It sports a dual core A5 processor, previously seen on the iPad but Apple has another trick up its sleeve. They’ve even managed to cram a dual core GPU into the device, which is promised to increase the graphics performance by over 7 times!

The next noticeable thing is the totally redesigned antenna. There are now two sets of antennae on the sides, which intelligently switch between one another depending on which one gets the better signal, so now if you’re ‘Holding it Wrong’ the phone will automatically switch to the antenna on the ‘right’ side.  The It features the same 3.5″ 960×640 Retina Display. The camera has also been totally revamped. The new camera now features an 8-mega-pixel sensor, but Apple says mega-pixel count isn’t everything; notable additions are the backside illuminated sensor, which will pave way for extremely improved low light performance. The new assembly also has the ability to shoot at apertures as low as f/2.8, which will give better background blur and much better low light performance. The camera is also capable of recording in Full HD 1080p

The iPhone 4S also features Siri Virtual assistant. It’s basically voice control on steroids. You just have to tap the Mic icon on the keyboard and you can then speak to write text, control music, find directions among other things.

The 4S will be unleashed  on the masses October 14th, with the pre-orders starting  from the 7th. The pricing is the same, $200 for the 16GB model and $300 for the 32GB, however, the 4S also comes in a new flavor, the 64GB, coming in with a price tag of a whopping $400!
