    In this tutorial we’re gonna attempt to install XXDLH9 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ROM on the Galaxy S III using CWM (Clockwork Recovery Mod) so make sure its installed.

    Step 1. Download the Deodexed XXDLH9 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ROM from here.

    Step 2. Connect your Galaxy S III I9300 to your computer via USB cable.

    Step 3. Transfer the XXDLH9 ROM to your Galaxy S III’s SD card root.

    Step 4. After the transfer is complete disconnect your phone and turn it off.

    Step 5. Now hold Volume Up + Home + Power at the same time to boot into the recovery menu.

    Step 6. In CWM perform a factory reset and delete the cache and dalvik cache. This is optional but will help avoid any errors.

    Step 7. Navigate to Install ZIP from SD card and select the XXDLH9 ROM we transferred to the SD card earlier.

    Step 8. After the installation is complete navigate to Reboot system now.

    The process will take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. After its done you’ll boot into XXDLH9 Android 4.1.1 pre-rooted.

    Now on to the tutorial itself, just following the steps below to install XXDLH9 Firmware on your Galaxy S III I9300. Make sure to backup all your data beforehand as this tutorial will wipe all your data along with your root. You can follow this guide to Root Galaxy S III I9300 Running XXDLH9.

    Step 1. Download the ROM linked above.

    Step 2. Download Odin 1.85 from here.

    Step 3. Go into Download mode by pressing Volume Down + Home buttons at the same time, and then press the Power button when the Android appears. Press the power again to go into Download mode.

    Step 4. Open Odin which you download from the link above and connect your phone via USB cable.

    Step 5. Press on the:

    – PDA button in Odin and select the CODE file.

    – Phone button and select the MODEM file.

    – CSC button and select the CSC file.

    – PIT button and select the PIT file.

    You’ll find these files in the ROM linked at the start of this tutorial. If there are no files of the type in the folder then ignore them.

    Step 6. Check the Auto Reboot F.Reset Time check boxes. Also make sure to check the Re-Partition option but only if you’ve selected a PIT file in Step 5.

    Step 7. Click the Start button. The procedure should take a couple of minutes at most.

    Step 8. After the installation is done your phone should restart and boot into the home screen. Disconnect the phone from your computer and turn it off again.

    Step 9. Now press Volume Up + Home + Power to navigate into the recovery menu.

    Step 10. Using the volume buttons to navigate select the wipe data/factory reset option.

    Step 11. Now finally select reboot phone.

    Step 3. Transfer the firmware file to your SD card’s root.
