  • Final Fantasy X For The PS3 And PS Vita Will Be A Proper Remake

Interesting news coming in Spanish site PSTime, the site claims that the Final Fantasy “HD Remake” announced at TGS a few days ago will be a proper remake instead of just being ported over to both the PS3 and PS Vita.

The site claims that the Final Fantasy X HD remake will be made from scratch with Final Fantasy XIII’s Crystal Tools engine along with lighting and similar effects being done with the help of the new Luminous engine developed for Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The highly popular Blitzball minigame will also undergo some changes which probably won’t change core game mechanics. The Final Fantasy X remake will also have an online mode but no details regarding it are known so we’ll just have to speculate for now. The game is rumored to hit Japanese shelves sometime in 2012.
