From the images below, Resident Evil 4 HD still looks fantastic despite being an old game. It hasn’t aged much with respect to current technology. Resident Evil: Code Veronica, on the other hand – looks a little old school. Nothing to worry though, it was still a fantastic game. The main thing that matters is the story and gameplay and both were quite good in Code Veronica. You can also dual wield guns as shown in the gameplay trailer.

Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica are getting a release on PS3 and Xbox 360. They will be fully HD remastered along with support for Trophies and Achievement Points. These new videos show us these remastered games in action for the first time.
Resident Evil 4 was one of the most critically acclaimed Resident Evil game of all time. It is one of my personal favorite and i have got a lot of fond memories with this game. This version will come with all the extras of the PS2 version which means we will also get Separate Ways, a side-chapter which dealt with the story of Ada Wong.
Since i personally played the PS2 version and never tried the Gamecube/Wii version, this gameplay video of Resident Evil 4 does appear to be a lot better and cleaner then its PS2 counterpart. The graphics appear to be better, frame rate appears much more smoother, as the PS2 version had slight hiccups on heavy scenes like shooting a exploding barrel and during some of the boss fights. The textures definitely look much better then the PC and PS2 version. You can see the gameplay video below. Make sure to view it in HD to see it in full glory.
Resident Evil Code Veronica was a Dreamcast exclusive Resident Evil game until it was later ported to PS2 under the title Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. I have personally played it on PS2 and i always heard that the Dreamcast version was the superior one with better graphics as compared to PS2. It is one of the many old-school style Resident Evil game which still retains the tank controls(Press up to go up, left and right to turn).
Based on the brief gameplay shown in this trailer. I can clearly see improvements compared to the PS2 version. The lighting appears to be better and the game has received a slight texture upgrade which makes it look better then PS2 version. Capcom claims that this version will have a new lighting engine and from this trailer, it certainly looks like it. See the video below and make sure to view it in HD.
Resident Evil 4 HD will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on September 20th while PS3 users will be able to grab it off PSN on 21st September. Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on 27th September and PSN on 28th September. Both of these games will cost you $15 each($30 total for both) or equivalent to about 1600 Microsoft points.

IGN has posted this neat video which pits the upcoming HD remake of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus to their PS2 counterparts. You can check this nifty video for yourself. Make sure to watch it in High Definition(HD) resolution for maximum experience.

While ICO still retains the old school PS style look, Shadow of the Colossus definitely looks better and much more smoother game. The resolution boost gives a much more crisper image. The 3D support that is also being implemented will be a nice bonus.
Shadow of the Colossus still has some of our favorite gaming moment of all time, it was the first game which truly made us feel like a hero who has to slay giant monsters of all kind. Armed with just a bow and a simple sword, we had to use various methods and exploit the weakness of these giant monsters(Colossus)in the game in order to slay them.
EA just outed the last trailer for one of the most highly anticipated games of this year: Battlefield 3. The trailer features the Caspian Border Multiplayer map where all 64 players were part of the action. Trailer after the break, don’t forget to watch it in full 1080p!
Now that’s what I call a mind boggling trailer. The highlight of the footage will have be the vehicles, I mean you can fly friggin PLANES AND CHOPPERS! What else could you want? This is war my friends, as real as it’s gonna get in your bedroom.
