Ufone announces cellphone integrated with EVO service
Ufone has announced a new cellphone known as the Uth Futura which will be the first hybrid phone in Pakistan i.e it will support both GSM and PTCL EVO network. The device is an alternative to 3rd generation networks(3G) for cellphones in Pakistan. It will support high speed data transfers of up to 3.1 mbps and live video streaming thanks to the PTCL EVDO network. The Ufone GSM sim would be used to make voice calls and sms while the EVO network will be used to send and receive data.
The phone can also work as a PTCL EVDO modem for connecting to a computer/laptop to use EVO service.It also supports mobile TV and has a built in call block facility. Here is a list of the features of this new phone:

EVO Tariffs for Ufone Futura
For GSM services, you will have to recharge your account with conventional Ufone cards or U-Share with usual tariffs that Ufone offers.
However, for Internet services, Ufone has partnered with PTCL offer exclusive per hour package to its customers.
Following are available packages:
- Hourly Package: Rs. 25 per hour (Default Package)
- Unlimited Monthly Package: Rs. 2,000 per month
Note: To use EVO Internet services, you will have to use PTCL Vouchers for recharge.

The handset is network locked to Ufone and comes with a 6 month warranty. It can be purchased from any Ufone Sales and service centre except for Peshawar, where the service is not supported.
