Just after seeding the iOS 6.0.1 update, Apple is now busy in preparing the iOS 6.1 update. Unlike the minor release that 6.0.1 was, 6.1 is all set to be a big one just as all point releases have been historically. So far the only new addition to this update that we know of is the improvement in the Maps app and mapping as a whole.
Currently only the Beta 1 of iOS 6.1 is available. You need to be a registered developer in order to get your hands on it. Apple does not seed beta versions of iOS to public. There is no change log of iOS 6.1 available yet either because it’s not made available by Apple or developers are bound by some sort of non disclosure agreement.
If you’re not a developer, and still want to get your hands on iOS 6.1 Beta 1, use the following links (depending on your device) to download the firmware. Do note that installing beta firmwares opens your device to all sorts of risks, some even beyond repair. So download it at your own risk!
