iPhone 5 Jailbreak, Everything You Need To Know

The iPhone 5 will be delivered to customers who pre-ordered the device this Friday i.e 21st of September. These include a small but intelligent bunch of hackers dedicated to unleashing our iPhone’s potentials through a process called Jailbreaking. These Jailbreakers will supposedly start work on the iPhone 5 Jailbreak as soon as they can but accomplishing their goal wont be that easy.

iPhone 5 Jailbreak

Two main teams have been responsible for recent jailbreaks namely the Chronic-Dev Team and iPhone Dev Teams. Although they haven’t official announced work on an iPhone 5 Jailbreak its obvious they’re planning stuff out under the radar. As we mentioned earlier the dev teams or anyone else for a matter of fact who plans on accomplishing an iPhone 5 Jailbreak, will have multiple challenges to overcome, lets discuss the two main problems below:

iOS 6 Jailbreak

iOS 6 will be release to the public in just a few hours although previous iOS 6 Beta release have been Jailbroken on the iPhone 3G and iPhone 4. iPhone 4S is yet to be Jailbroken on iOS 6. Jailbreaks for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S are much likely to arrive earlier than the iPhone 5 Jailbreak which comes with iOS 6 pre-installed.

A6 Chip

Apple’s brand new A6 chip is the company’s fastest one yet, offering double the performance of the iPhone 4S’ A5. The problem with a brand new processor and internals is that it adds more complexity to the Jailbreaking process. As each component is changed, the new one needs specific instructions which older Jailbreaks aren’t able to provide. The iPhone 4S’ Jailbreak was hard enough, many members of the Jailbreak community including posixninja, pod2g, nikias and planetbeing came together and created the Jailbreak “Dream Team” to tackle the problem. They succeeded but we’re not sure if they’ll come back for the iPhone 5 Jailbreak.

Now we have no idea when and if the iPhone 5 Jailbreak will come out but we doubt that it will come out anytime in 2012. We’re already in the 9th month of the year and the iPhone 4S Jailbreak took 6 months to accomplish.

For the time being all we can do is wait.
