  • New Slender Game is in Development

Most of us know about Slender, especially due to the increasing popularity of the Slender Man through the internet. Slender is a short, yet satisfying game in which the player is tasked with finding eight pages in a dark forest, with nothing but a flash light. As the player finds the pages, the soundtrack builds up and the Slender Man begins to stalk and follow you. The eight pages can be found anywhere in the forest and their locations change in each playthrough, which adds to the suspense and horror effect. Who knew that a short PC game by Parsec Productions could be one of the most terrifying experiences ever?

For those of you new to the name and game, meet unnamed hero, who travels to his old home of the fictional city Haventon, to rescue his wife Julie and daughter Mary. The game takes place one year after the American has gone through a colossal disaster known as “The Event”. In the wake of The Event, resources have gone low, the government tries to help the citizens but isn’t able to do much because of the hazardous dust clouds that have paralyzed the city. The result? Low supplies and no help incoming turned once peaceful and loving citizens into agitated, violent and savage hunters. What more better scenario for a survival horror game.

  • Street Fighter x Tekken bug fix announced

The latest update for Capcom’s Street Fighter x Tekken introduced a new major bug. The update was originally released to fix some minor bugs and graphical glitches. However, this new bug caused the game to crash when Rolento’s knife made contact with a fireball (e.g: Ryu’s Hadoken). Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 were affected by this bug.

Capcom has now announced a fix for this bug that will be released by mid-June according to Shoryuken. Capcom posted on it’s Unity blog saying “The dev team is hard at work investigating the issue, and plans to have a patch available soon”.

Tomoaki Ayano announced in the post, “As many of you are aware, a game breaking glitch has appeared in Street Fighter X Tekken after the release of the 1.04 update. The development team is currently examining the problem and planning to patch the game as quickly as possible. The patch to fix the glitch should be released by mid June.

“We truly apologize for this problem, and hope everyone will be patient until the patch is released. Thank you very much.”

Did you fall victim to this bug as well? What do you think of Capcom releasing the fix a little late? Let me know in the comments below.
