  • Top 10 Tips On Improving Your Battlefield 3 Game

Playing the Battlefield 3 and having a hard time? Want to learn the basics and some neat tricks? Check out the Top 10 Tips on improving your Battlefield 3 game after the break.

    10. Spawn Screen

When you’re at the spawn screen and about to spawn at a location of on of your squad members wait for a few seconds and let your squad mate move to a safe location, you should never spawn in the middle of a firefight.

    9. Keep An Eye On The Map

Always keep an eye on the map and look out for those orange arrows, those are your enemies. Cleverly sneak up behind them and send them back to spawn screen.

    8. Moving Around The Map

Don’t run around the map like a maniac; use covers, crouch down and be aware of your surroundings.

    7. Character Classes

Use the classes you use effectively, understand each your role before rolling out. Assault soldiers are suppose to heal, Engineers are suppose to take care of vehicles, Support has to “support” your team with a big weapon providing ammunition and finally Recon is the sniper which supports the squad by putting out mobile spawn points among others.

    6. Attachments

Almost every weapon in the game has attachments, experiment with them and use the ones which works best.

    5. Weapons

Use the weapons that you’re most comfortable with. Do you like Shotguns and close combat firefighting? Use them, like Carbines USE THEM! Everybody likes different things so choose one specific weapons and get good at them.

    4. Flanking

Flanking works great for me in Battlefield 3, moving up in the middle of the map won’t do you good as chances are you’ll be hit my a hidden enemy soldier to your left or right. Use cover and cleverly flank your enemies and lead your team to victory.

    3. Cover

The bags of sand and pillars are there for a reason, hide behind walls and anything solid when going up against the opposing team which will make spotting you much harder for them. Just remember to watch our for Engineers and their rockets.

    2. Prone

Prone down whenever an enemy spots you to hide. Proning in Battlefield 3 is much more effective than in other FPS games like Call of Duty so make sure you take advantage of it. You should also prone when sniping or trying to take out enemies from a distance.

    1. Team Work

Lets get one thing straight, this is not COD. Running and gunning doesn’t work so you better act like a team and work in sync. Stay close to your squad, use suppressive fire and use Squad spawns. Team work is everything in Battlefield so you better get used to it.

Well guys these most of the tips I could think of right now, if you have any more go ahead and comment below!

  • iPhone Dev-Team Releases iOS 5.0b1 Jailbreak for Developers

The iPhone Dev-team has released a new version of Redsnow – 0.9.8b1 – that developers can use to jailbreak iOS 5b1. This utilizes the limera1n bootrom exploit by geohot, which Apple can patch only by releasing new hardware.

    The following devices are supported:
    ● iPod touch 3G
    ● iPod touch 4G
    ● iPad 1
    ● iPhone3GS
    ● iPhone4 (GSM)
    ● iPhone4 (CDMA)

UNLOCKERS AND THOSE PRESERVING THEIR UNLOCKABLE BASEBANDS SHOULD STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS! You will very likely lose your unlockable baseband if you try to install iOS 5.

THIS JAILBREAK IS INTENDED ONLY FOR DEVELOPERS OF JAILBROKEN APPS! There are just too many broken components (Apple’s official apps, 3rd-party App Store apps, Cydia apps, MobileSubstrate apps, etc) for this to be useful to anyone but those truly looking to fix bugs in their iOS 5 jailbroken apps. (Seriously!)

THIS REDSN0W WILL NOT HACTIVATE 5.0b1! You need to be an iOS developer with a registered UDID to get past all the new activation screens. PLEASE DON’T PIRATE APPLE SOFTWARE! Only registered devs with Macs can develop iOS applications, and only those people will have legitimate access to the beta IPSWs.

THIS IS A TETHERED JAILBREAK ONLY! No new exploits are being exposed with this jailbreak (it uses geohot’s limera1n bootrom exploit), but that comes at a cost. You will need to use redsn0w to “Just boot tethered now” to be able to use many things, including Cydia and Safari. If you see a white icon for Cydia, or if Cydia or Safari crash when you open them, it’s because you didn’t boot tethered.

IF YOU HAVE THE 06.15 BASEBAND ON YOUR 3GS…this redsn0w will get you past the iTunes restore error you’ll get when using the stock IPSW (nobody other than those with the 06.15 baseband should be going anywhere near the stock IPSW!).

The iPhone Dev-Team notes that this version of RedSn0w will likely work to jailbreak future iOS 5 betas by pointing to the 5.0b1 ipsw.

    You can download redsn0w_mac_0.9.8b1 here.

  • Team Fortress 2 Hats

    Team Fortress 2 Hats

Team Fortress 2 Hats are getting viral! Team Fortress 2 is the highly popular team based multiplayer only game by Valve. TF2 is available on PC, OSX, Xbox 360 and PS3, first as part of the Orange Box compilation in 2007 and as a stand alone title in 2008. The game went free to play on 23rd of June 2011, the game now makes it’s money through microtransaction payments from the Mann Co. Store where players can buy weapons, action items and hats. Read more about Team Fortress 2 Hats below:

Headware or Hats are they are usually known as were added to the game in the 21st May Sniper Vs Spy update in 2009 where Valve introduced 9 hats, one for each class in the game. The hat scene has exploded ever since, Valve adds new hats with every update which tends to bring bucket loads of revenue for the company.

Team Fortress 2 Hats can be obtained through 5 ways: Through the Mann Co. Store, Mann Co. Supply crates, crafting, items drops, rewards for in-game achievements and through special promotions on the Steam Store. Hats have become such a huge phenomena that Valve once even said that they tend to receive more attention than the game itself.

  • Google Starts PMSing Again – Google Panda 2.4 Is Out!

Google Panda, most of you would imagine a cute little panda with Google written on its belly, well IT’S NOT! Google Panda is every webmaster’s worst enemy. It’s an “algorithm” invented by Google to rank websites and they update this algorithm whenever they feel like it. What it does is rank sites according to the content they have, spammy sites go down and better sites get higher rankings. Well that was the plan anyway, but it went bad somewhere in between, browsing through Google Help Forums, I saw the highest number of frustrated and honest webmasters complaining about Google Panda hitting their sites when they had only quality stuff on their sites! This is when the going got tough, and when it comes to Google, it got even tougher!

Google recently let loose of Panda 2.4 last week and it brought down more quality sites than crap-sites! But Google doesn’t care, we personally got hit by it, upon asking for advice we got forwarded to some snot-nosed employees who told us to “Work Harder”! Big websites have been affected by this update, and it’s not going to stop anytime soon. Many webmasters have posted about the Panda in the G-Help forums, asking Google to either fix it or shut it down and rank sites the classic way. But the Panda just seems to get hungrier and stronger with time, with Google looking to release Panda 2.5 in the coming weeks, webmasters are seeking help from all-over. A sad situation nonetheless, funny how a huge conglomerate can turn on the people who made it big in the first place.

  • Top 10 Laptops of 2011

    Top 10 Laptops of 2011

People who are looking to get the perfect notebook, we at TechDeville have made a list containing the top 10 laptops to get your hands on this year. Today, when there are a lot of different options for everyone to choose from, everyone finds it really difficult to get the perfect notebook with the budget and required specifications being available in the form of so many different options.

So we did a little effort to narrow that list down to 10 laptops, making sure you get the gem you want. All the requirements have really been kept in mind making this list from Processor, RAM, and Storage to Screen Size and Battery Timing. I hope you’ll find this post very helpful.

    10. Alienware M14Xz

A laptop from Alienware will always be unique for its build and design. Having the characteristics of something being out of this world, firm body and the curvy extraterrestrial nature. The design is incomparable with any other regular machine in the market. With a resolution of 1600×900, not being the best, graphics are pretty sharp and clean. The Corei7 runs like a phoenix loading up everything under 45 seconds without any change in any of the startup options. The specifications are:

    • Display: 14.0″ HD 1600×900 pixels
    • Storage: 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3GB/s
    • Processor: Intel Core i7 2820QM 2.3GHz
    • Memory: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
    • Graphics: 3.0GB DDR3 Nvidia GeForce GT 555M

    • Wireless: Intel Advanced-N WiFi Link 6250 a/g/n 2×2 MIMO Technology with WiMax
    • Audio: Internal High-Definition 5.1 Surround Sound Audio

    9. Dell XPS 15

The recently refreshed Dell XPS is a very good performance laptop that would get everything you throw at it done with ease. One of the highlights of the XPS 15 are the built-in JDL speakers which offer excellent audio performance. With the inclusion of a NVIDIA 425M graphics card the XPS 15 is a good gaming laptop as well which can play recent games on average settings. When buying the XPS 15 you also have an option of a 3D enabled display which make this a great multimedia laptop.

    • Display: 15.6” 1366 x 768 pixels
    • Storage: 750GB 7,200rpm
    • Processor: Intel Quad Core i7-2630QM 2 GHz
    • Memory: 8GB, 667MHz DDR3 RAM
    • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GT540M + Intel GMA HD (Optimus)
    • Wireless: Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, WiMax

    8. Lenovo ThinkPad X220

The first thing you notice about the ThinkPad is its classic utilitarian design; this may be a pro for someone and a con for the other. The ThinkPad design hasn’t changed much in the last ten years and the reason can be explained in one simple quote, “Don’t fix something that isn’t broken”. The business oriented design may seem ancient but this is an extremely rugged laptop, tough as nails!  The notebook has exceptional battery life despite it’s heavy specs, a 2.7GHz i7 and 8GB of RAM, The i7 will handle anything you throw at it with ease. The laptop has a slightly unorthodox screen size, 12.5 inches but the display is simply amazing, equipped with a IPS Matte screen, it provides vibrant colors and excellent viewing angles. It’s also got a really wide and comfortable keyboard which doesn’t make your hands beg for mercy after hours of use. This notebook is highly recommended.

    • Display: 12.5” TFT 1366 x 768 pixels
    • Storage: 320 GB Serial ATA-300 7200 rpm
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-2620M 2.7 GHz

    • Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 Dynamic Video Memory Technology
    • Battery and Power: 65 Watt AC/ 9-cell Lithium ion
    • Wireless: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205
    • Audio: CX20672 High Definition Audio

    7. Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A

Samsung’s offering in the Ultrabook market, the Series 9, is a beautiful ultrathin piece of hardware. You’d think that to keep it this thin Samsung must’ve compromised on the specs,  but you’d be very wrong! The series 9 packs a Second-gen 1.4Ghz Core i5 Processor, 8 Gigabytes of RAM and a 128GB SSD to boot, the SSD being the cherry on top! This ultrabook can be considered a direct competitor to Apple’s offering in the same category, the 2011 Macbook air. Both machines have almost the same specs, notable differences are 4GB less Ram on the Air and a faster 1.7GHz processor on the Series 9 but the reason for the Series 9′s low position in the list is it’s price. The notebook is even more expensive than the Macbook Air; Apple’s products tend to be more expensive then its competitors but this time Samsung has even outdone them in this department.

    • Display: 13.3” TFT 1366 x 768 pixels
    • Storage: 128 GB Solid State Drive
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-2537M 1.4 GHz
    • Memory: 8GB DDR3 SDRAM – 1333 MHz

    • Audio: High Definition Audio, SRS 3D Sound

    6. Toshiba Portege R835-P56X

The Portege gets your performance, good looks and excellent battery times perfect for people on the go. The Toshiba Portege is a very good Windows alternative to the Macbook Pro with both performance and battery life similar to the Pro which is very rare to see on Windows based PCs.

    • Display: 13.3” 1,366×768 pixels
    • Storage: 640 GB – Serial ATA-300 – 5400 rpm
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M 2.3 GHz

    • Wireless: Bluetooth, WiMax,WiFi, and Intel’s Wireless Display

    5. Asus U41JF-A1

The ASUS U41JF-A1 is an all in one package, featuring balanced performance and battery life. The laptop is very consistent and is priced well too and the 8 cell battery coupled with the low wattage consuming Core i3 processor is a blessing for travellers. There’s also a NVIDIA 425M present for when you’re bored and want to game or watch an HD Movie.

    • Display: 14” 1366×768 pixels

    4. Dell Vostro 3350

The legendary Vostro series is back this year and it’s better than ever. The Vostro is normally considered a business laptop but it packs exceptional media capabilities as well thanks to the built-in ATI Radeon 6790M graphics chip. The laptop is perfect for the traveling business man, the form factor coupled with the sturdy chassis is one hell of a package!

    • Display: 13.3” HD LED 1366 x 768 pixels
    • Storage: 500GB5 SATA 7200RPM
    • Processor: Intel CoreTM i7 2620M
    • Memory: 4GB4 DDR3 SDRAM at 1333 MHz

    3. Acer Aspire AS8950G-9839

The Acer Aspire AS8950G-9839 is a great desktop replacement with a huge 18.4-inch full HD display and Core i7 processor along with 8GB of RAM and a dedicated ATI Radeon 6850M graphics chip. This laptop is perfect for watching movies with excellent sound quality thanks to DSS and occasional games. • Storage: 750GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

    • Audio: Dolby Surround Sound, Dolby Home Theater v4

    2. HP Pavilion DV6-6013CL

The HP DV6 is one my personal favorites on this list. This year’s DV6 has a new super sexy design and comes packed with some serious hardware. The DV6 series is highly upgradable so you should buy the configuration which suits you best. Watching movies on the DV6 is a very enjoyable experience and the sound quality thanks to Beats audio is worth a mention.

    • Display: 15.6” High-Definition HP BrightView LED Display 1366×768 pixels

    1. MacBook Air

Well guys Apple is Apple and everybody knows that they make excellent hardware. It would only seem fitting that a MacBook is at the top of our list. The new MacBook Air is cheaper than ever and is worth every penny. Even though the hardware is not what you’ll get with similarly priced laptops, the Air runs Mac OS which is perfectly optimized for it’s hardware so be assured your shiny new laptop will not slow down.

Five Bootrom Exploits Found In iPad 2 And iPhone 5’s A5 Processor, Future Jailbreaks Confirmed?

Big news coming in from the first ever Jailbreaking convention: MyGreatFest. p0sixninja on behalf on the Cronic Dev team announced that they have discovered at least five new bootrom exploits in Apple’s A5 dual core processor found in the iPad and rumored to also be in the iPhone 5. What this means is that these five bootrom exploits can greatly help create future jailbreaks for devices with the A5 processor namely the iPhone 5 and iPad 2.

What so special about these exploits you ask? Well first of all is the sheer number, five bootrom exploits is a lot and almost all of them are low level exploits which means is that the iPad 2 and even the iPhone 5 will always stay Jailbreakable. p0sixninja claims this is “the most amazing jailbreak yet”, we just hope he’s right. Godspeed you legends.

After the restore,  if you encounter an error like 1011, 1013, 1015 ; just ignore them (the firmware has actually been successfully installed). You just have to kick your phone out of recovery mode. To do this open up recboot-which you downloaded above. Once it loads up, press the exit recovery button and it will kick your phone out of recovery mode. The phone will then reboot and you will be booted into iOS 4.3.3.
